"You can track members. Sophisticated new email marketing systems are becoming an adroit way to market to credit union members.

Sundeep Kapur, NCR’s eCommerce product marketing manager, says its Customer Power, which started as an email marketing system six years ago, has a message broker that will send messages thru interactive voice response, a call center representative, direct mail, ATM or email. It then tracks the responses, Kapur says from NCR’s Dayton, Ohio head office.

Customer Power also works for inbound situations. Credit union employees can receive triggered alerts on a member transaction that may be awry, such as a bounced cheque. Credit union members can also use the system to set up their own alerts, requesting am email alert if their chequing account goes below a preferred balance."
