Special Prize National Winner
Chill's iIllustrations/graphic design secured two first-place wins and one second-place win for jewelry designer, Larry C.Y. Ho. in The International Tahitian Pearl Trophy Competition. Larry hired Christy to illustrate his wonderful jewelry designs and create the poster designs to elaborate on his concepts. You probably recognize the spoofs on the i-Pod advertisements that are currently part of our urban landscape.The iDisco concept merges old and new technologies. The form of the necklace mimics the shape of vinyl and is created with diamonds and Tahitian pearls. The iPod can be connected via the "record arm" or disconnected depending on what kind of night you have planned.
To the left you see the initial illustrated concept that was entered in the contest and to the right the necklace created afterwards for the second and final phase. Pretty wonderful, eh? I would certainly wear that necklace. Ooh la la.
