TAHITIAN PEARL TROPHY, SONG OF THE STARS,

Chill's iIllustrations/graphic design
secured two first-place wins and one second-place win for jewelry designer, Larry C.Y. Ho. in an international Tahitian Pearl competition.

So yes, we make a pretty fine team. Larry hired me up to illustrate his wonderful jewelry designs. Also, I created the poster designs to further elaborate on his concepts. I'm sure you recognize the spoofs on the i-Pod and Calvin Klein ads that are currently part of our urban landscape.

The iDisco concept on the left merges old and new technologies. The form of the necklace mimics the shape of vinyl and is to be created with diamonds and Tahitian pearls. The iPod can be connected via the "record arm" or disconnected depending on what kind of night you have planned. The Suspense concept on the right merges the guitar arm with suspenders. A row of Tahitian pearls lines the G string and the frets are created with gold.

All Larry C.Y. Ho's jewelry designs that were submitted to The Song of the Stars competition placed so a big congrats to my client. The necklace and the suspender are both being made into jewelry pieces as we speak. I hope I'll be able to round up a few photographs when they are completed. I'm looking forward to seeing them.
