CHILL ILLUSTRATES AN AD FOR OFF-CENTRE MAG
I drew up this illustration for an advertisement for Ricardo's Mediterranean Kitchen for Off-Centre .The champagne bottles and glasses, horns,and hats are symbolic of the night that Ricardo's is advertising as well as celebrating which is their restaurant's sixth anniversary.The two characters in the background are actually caricatures of the owners, Ric and Sue. I've been told that they loved their look -alikes. The ad is supposed to look festive and therefore a little chaotic, hence the streamers, smattering of hors d'oeuvres, cake and anniversary cards. There is text that will be printed in the cropped wave below the illustration and these are RGB colours so they're a tad on the bright side.
